Wastes and Glacial Summit gate
If you have the Protocannon, are exploring the Wastes / Glacial Summit area and appear blocked by a high ledge or gate, check the left-side permission barrier with the scanner. Basic access permission is not enough by itself: you must scan the barrier.
- Return to the left-side barrier in this area.
- Activate the scanner on it.
- Use the route opened by your access permission.
A different blockage in the Western Wastes
If you already have the L- and T-shaped keys but cannot get farther into the Wastes, scan the far-left room in the Western Wastes. This is a separate location from the gate above.
Use the location and your current equipment to choose the matching hint; the two situations should not be treated as the same barrier.
